What is the Furniture Recycling Project?
Furniture Recycling Project (FRP) is a charity run by a small team of staff and a group of willing volunteers, overseen by a Board of Trustees.
Our aim is to re-use furniture, electrical goods and household items for the benefit of the community, and to help reduce social exclusion throughout the County of Gloucestershire, in what we believe is Creating a Better Community.
We achieve this by collecting re-useable items only directly from the public, free of charge. The items are then inspected, to ensure they meet safety and cleanliness standards.
How can I donate furniture or household items?
If you live in the Gloucestershire and have good quality furniture, electrical or household items you wish to donate, then please contact us by phone or email and we can arrange for it to be collected free of charge.
Items including stained, marked, or ripped beds and upholstery regretfully cannot be accepted. Other items not accepted include furniture containing woodworm, gas appliances, electrical items in need of major repair or in a rusty condition, and upholstered goods which do not meet the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.
How can I buy furniture or household items?
Come along to our shops in Gloucester or Cheltenham to see the wide range of produces available. The items can be bought at very reasonable cost and all the money received allows is put back directly into the charity, allowing us to continue our service.
We do charge a small, £12 delivery fee irrespective of numbers of items or location as long as it is in Gloucestershire. We do not offer a service outside of the County.
Times cannot be agreed due to the wide area we cover, however we would be pleased to contact you an hour in advance to advise you that we are on our way.
Regretfully we do not offer storage facilities, therefore you are not in on the agreed date, a charge of £12 will be made for each re-delivery and storage charges may be incurred.
