Donating

Do you have good quality furniture or electrical items that you no longer require?

If you live in the central Gloucestershire area and have furniture or household items you wish to donate, then please contact us by phone or email and we will arrange for it to be collected free of charge. We collect most household items including 3-piece suites, beds, chests of drawers, tables and chairs, wardrobes, wall units, cookers, washing machines, fridges and freezers.

Unfortunately, we cannot take all items offered to us. Items that are stained, marked, or ripped regretfully cannot be accepted. Other items not accepted include furniture containing woodworm, gas appliances, electrical items in need of major repair or in a rusty condition, and upholstered goods that do not meet the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.

All donated items are taken to our warehouse to be inspected and repaired as needed, and are then sold at low cost to the disadvantaged community.

Regretfully we are unable to accept exceptionally large and/or heavy items due to the risks to our drivers associated with lifting and moving them.

Goods left outside in wet weather will also be rejected.

Customers are asked to have donated items readily accessible for our drivers.

For Health & Safety reasons, goods cannot be collected from upstairs in customer’s property.

Please note: Customers should be aware that the Project accepts NO LIABILITY for damage to customer’s property as a result of collection of goods.

Please contact us on 01452 302303 or collections@frpglos.org.uk for the Gloucester shop, and 01242 220296 or cheltenham@frpglos.org.uk for the Cheltenham shop to book your collection.

Please complete a gift aid letter (can be downloaded here) when you donate items to us.
