to the Furniture Recycling Project for Gloucestershire

The objective of the project is to encourage the recycling of furniture and household items to disadvantaged groups.

We offer volunteer opportunities to those wishing to gain work experience. We also provide accredited training opportunities to learners in the 16 -18 age group.

FRP Highlights

  • An average of 12,000 items supplied to the disadvantaged community per year.
  • We have customer access sites in Gloucester and Cheltenham, a white goods repair centre opening in Gloucester.
  • Gloucester City Council benefits by £60,000 per year in collection charges. Include other authorities within Gloucestershire we estimate the savings would be in excess of £100,000.
  • 2005 Recognised by the South West Regional Development Agency as a Beacon Company.
